We are happy to share that Give the Needy Foundation, with the help of their team, completed three water well projects from others which are in progress. It is a blessing with the drastic floods in Sind that we were able to complete these few water well projects, but many of these villages are still in dire straits from the floods. We are also in the process of donating rations (Please check the "Fundraising" page in this website).
The district capital of Sanghar, is a city of Nawabshah. It is one of the largest districts of Sindh province, in Pakistan. The primary industry there is agriculture.
The three water well projects completed were in:
Village: Dadal Hingoro District of Sanghar
Village: Kambho Kach: District of Sanghar
Village: Ramzan Smejo District of Sanghar

Happy to share some more water wells projects completed in the district of Sanghar in the Sindh province. Villages of: Haji Rajar District, Ramzan Raar District, Jan Wuhammad Rajar District in Sanghar. We have several more water wells projects in progress and will share them as they are completed. We take time to look for the dire needs of villagers in very remote areas, which don't even have roads to get to these villages in need of water. Some of these water wells projects were completed in the Thar desert Khipro, 50 kilometers from the small city of Khipro. The Chotiari water reservoir in Sanghar, the second largest water storage facility in Sindh province, was facing acute shortages and touched an “almost dead level” due to low monsoon rains last year. It is a blessing to even help a small fraction of the villagers in need. It is such a good feeling seeing these beautiful children enjoying access to water, which we take for granted.
We thank all our donors for helping us with water well projects. A little about Sanghar: Sanghar District is one of the largest districts of Sindh province, Pakistan. It was a village before Mallah Tribe were settled there. This has the largest Mallah tribe population. It has an area of 9874 square kilometres. It is located in the center of Sindh. Sanghar is the headquarters of Sanghar District and Sanghar Taluka (a subdivision of the district). It is an agricultural town where rice, wheat, and cotton are mainly grown, but it is also home to several cotton-textile factories and is a local market town. It is situated approximately 265 km from Karachi.

We are excited to share the completion of few more water well projects from Give the Needy Foundation in the remote area of Sind, with more projects in process. They are in the Village of Muhammad Khan, Tehsil Khipro District, Sanghar in Sind.
It is an extreme arid area, more remote compared to other villages in Sind. It is completely opposite of Thar and a totally different route called Achorro Thar, which means white sand. It is less habited, no facilities of any kind what so ever. It is a complete desert area where the livelihoods of the people are shepherds.
We thank all our kind and generous donors that make these projects possible.

Thanks to all of you who supported Give the Needy fundraiser recently. We completed some additional well projects; the rest will resume after Ramadan.
The overview of the water well projects take time for the right location. We are looking for other isolated areas where the need is more seriously required.
We at Give the Needy Foundation plan to continue our efforts in providing more wells to these remote areas. Please support us on our ongoing water projects, please donate to our cause. Every small amount counts.

We are very excited to share an update on a few of our Well projects which were completed last year in the Tharparkar District in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. We recently visited these projects again and we are very happy to report that the results of these wells have been outstanding. I would like to share the above video we compiled for my donors on what we are hearing from some of our beneficiaries.
There is great joy in these villages to have access to clean water for their daily lives. Prior to the wells, the people in some of these villages had to walk several miles to get access to water. The satisfaction of seeing these people and animals get access to sweet and clean water, is tremendous. I cannot express the impact your generosity has created for the welfare of these villagers, in their everyday needs.

Khwaja Ali and his wife Yasmin Ali who reside in Seattle, introduced us to team overseas for starting our water well projects, with the help of a nonprofit: Efforts Frontline Organization. We successfully implement these projects. The team identifies processes to locate underground water aquifers, and then drill to the right depth to get sweet water. Where needed, solar power panels and submersible pumps are installed. We at Give the Needy Foundation continue our efforts in providing water wells to these remote areas, where they are deprived of their essential need for water. Thank you for joining us in this journey.
