Ongoing Water Well Maintenance Program! At Give the Needy Foundation, our commitment to clean water and transformed lives never stops. While new water well projects are underway, we are also revisiting past sites as part of our Water Well Maintenance Program - ensuring continued impact in the communities we serve.
Here are three recently revisited wells, both completed over two years ago in August 2023 for the following generous donors:
Project 30 Khaver Scheik Village: Ram Chand Achro Thar Dist Sanghar - Khaver Akhter Scheik
Project 33 Dr. Asma Khan Village: Dongar Achro Thar Dist Sanghar
- Asma Khan
Project 34 Ruksana Omar Village: Fojo Achro Thar Dist Sanghar -
Rukhsana Omar
You can see the before and after pictures. In just two years, the projects have visibly deteriorated under such extreme conditions - showing why maintaining these water wells is so important.
These villages sit in flat, sandy terrain dotted with dunes and thorny shrubs. Temperatures often soar above 45°C (113°F), and frequent sandstorms quickly erode even the toughest materials—paint, pipes, and pumps included.
If you have donated a dedicated water well, we encourage you to contact us to arrange ongoing maintenance for a small annual fee of $180. This helps ensure your well continues to serve its community and that your meaningful dedication in honor of a loved one remains a source of blessings for years to come. Donors will receive annual updates on the water well project, including media coverage.
Thanks to ongoing maintenance, the water remains clean and consistent. The wells now look refreshed and renewed—standing not just as sources of life, but as beautiful, hopeful places that bring dignity to the villagers each day.

Happy to announce the successful completion of more water well projects!
Recently, we dedicated water wells in honor of a group of donors:
Maimuna, Najia, Nazish, Durre, Shehla, Sadia, Aneela and Misty.
Each water well is a reflection of compassion and generosity. May every drop of water bring blessings and may the heartfelt prayers of the villagers always carry gratitude for these donors.

We are recently completed water well projects dedicated in honor of our donors:
- Baby Emara Dadani
(Granddaughter of Shahnaz Kabani)
- Joe and Joani Stocker
These water wells are doing more than just providing clean drinking water — they are bringing life back to the land. With access to water, vegetation is returning, and families now have food they can grow and cook. It’s not just water — it’s nourishment, sustainability, and hope.
These well projects stand as a testament to kindness and generosity. May the water drawn bring blessings, and may the villagers’ prayers forever reflect their gratitude and appreciation for the donors.

Here are two recently revisited wells, both completed over two years ago and still flowing strong despite extreme conditions. These villages sit in flat, sandy terrain dotted with dunes and thorny shrubs. Temperatures often soar above 45°C (113°F), and frequent sandstorms quickly erode even the toughest materials—paint, pipes, and pumps included.
These 2 water well projects maintenance was for our generous donors: Dr. Farah Zaidi and Dr. Naheed Aljilani

On Going Water Well Maintenance Program! Give the Needy Foundation continuing our mission of providing clean water and transforming lives. While we have some new projects work in progress, we are also actively working on our Water Well Maintenance Program, revisiting projects we completed over the years to ensure they remain in excellent condition. This our 5th maintenance project.
Two of which we are sharing, were recently maintained, completed over three years ago, and still providing flowing water after the tough terrain harsh climate. The terrain is mostly flat and sandy, with scattered dunes and thorny bushes. Temperatures often rise above 45°C (113°F), and sandstorms frequently sweep across the land. The dry, abrasive conditions wear down surfaces quickly — even the best of paints on water wells doesn’t last long. The issues were mostly cosmetic: a fresh coat of paint, some minor structural touch-ups, and a few solar panel or tap replacements. The water remained clean and steady, and now the wells look as good as new, offering the villages not just water, but something beautiful to come to each day.
Please check out these 2 video clips of the before and after the maintenance.

Water Well Maintenance Program!
Building a well is just the beginning, maintaining it keeps the water flowing.
Give the Needy Foundation has proudly completed 85 water well projects - each one active, producing clean water, and transforming lives. To ensure these wells continue serving communities for years to come, we are excited to launch our Water Well Maintenance Program. While our team conducts periodic visits for inspections, consistent and sustainable funding is vital for long-term upkeep.
We would like to share a recent update from one of our wells, Water Well Project #17 - Village Umer Bajeer, District of Sanghar originally built in June 2022. We are pleased to report it still provides clean, running water. However, maintenance was needed: faded paint, structural wear due to the rugged terrain, and a few solar panel components required replacement. These issues have now been addressed, and the well has been restored to like-new condition.
